The Wold Affairs Council runs on the genrous support from its community, and you can be apar of it! Your help can make a difference in the works of the Council, and it comes in many shapes and forms as we welcome volunteers and interns. If you can give even a few hours a week, you will be rewarded with knowledge, friendship and satisfaction of knowing you helped us help Hampton Road.
With a small staff and many programs annually, the Council relies on the volunteers to help us with everything from office management to event production.
We invited students, retiees, or anybody who has time to spare to contact us and become a regular Council volunteer.
We also offer student internships for undergraduate and graduate students. While the internship is unpaid, interns can earn college credit, will gain markeable skills, invaluable experience and a broader understanding of the international community.

"World Affairs Councils have served our nation by educating our public and stimulating informed debate on the complex issues we face. With the Cold War ended and a new era upon us your role as citizens is even more important. As we seek to meet the challenges of this momentous period of change, I congratulate all of you for this important work."
Bill Clinton, 42nd President of the United States
