Andrew Lumpkin
Drew is the Vice President of External Affairs and Strategic Initiatives for the Hampton Roads Executive Roundtable. Roundtable comprises major business and higher education leaders in Hampton Roads, with the mission to expand the region’s economy and competitiveness, identify major strategic initiatives, foster innovation, and promote regional collaboration.
Prior to this position with the Roundtable, Drew served as the Regional Director of Hampton Roads for United States Senator Mark Warner, and before that, he was the Regional Director for the Senator’s Southwest Virginia operations. In those roles and among other responsibilities, Drew met with community leaders and elected officials to avail the office to the needs of the community.
Drew was also a veteran of several political campaigns. Drew earned his Masters of Divinity degree from Wake Forest University Divinity School, and while attending this program, he published several articles on religion and violence. He graduated from Virginia Tech with an undergraduate degree in psychology.
Drew was born in Fort Huachuca, AZ, but was raised in Manassas, Virginia. He currently resides in Norfolk, VA, with his wife, Nicole, and his children, Addison and Garrett.
