Andy Baan

Andy Baan is a 30-year Navy veteran including having served in Iraq where he earned a Bronze Star. He retired as Navy Captain. He is a former prosecutor, defense contractor program manager and cybersecurity consultant. He was selected as a Navy Commanding Officer six times; one unit earned the Reserves "Best Small Unit in the Nation." He has degrees from Notre Dame (BA), a law degree from Dickinson/Penn State (JD), a Masters in National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College (MA) and a Masters in Cybersecurity from Norfolk State University (MS). He has an extensive foreign policy background, having authored a presentation "China as a Threat" and after having visited 39 countries, including living in Germany, Austria, Korea, Djibouti and Saudi Arabia. He served at Norfolk's NATO Headquarters for two years on active duty.
