Barry Pollara

With a distinguished career rooted in service and leadership, Barry Pollara graduated from the United States Naval Academy, Class of 1967. He spent six years as a Naval Aviator, notably piloting the A-6 Intruder aboard the carrier USS INDEPENDENCE (CVA-62). Transitioning from military service, Pollara started a successful corporate journey, contributing as a sales manager at Xerox. In 1983, he joined Kidder, Peabody, which later became UBS Financial Services, where Pollara was Executive Director and Branch Manager in Norfolk.

Beyond the corporate realm, he has actively engaged in community leadership. Serving as the Chairman of the Board at WHRO, President of the Virginia Stage Company, and as a board member for Harborfest, Festevents, and the World Affairs Council of Hampton Roads. Notably, Pollara holds the position of Elder at Trinity Presbyterian Church.

Currently retired, he resides in Norfolk with his wife, Peggy Pollara. Family holds a significant place in his life, with a daughter, son-in-law, and two grandsons residing in Virginia Beach.
