PassPort: Hampton Roads is the World Affairs Council of Hampton Roads' flagship education initiative, designed to ensure that every student has access to meaningful global learning experiences.
Created in 2026, PassPort was built on a simple belief: students learn best when they can connect classroom lessons to the world around them. In Hampton Roads, one of America's most internationally connected regions, opportunities to engage with global affairs, civic leadership, culture, diplomacy, business, and public service are all around us.
Through subsidized educational experiences, educator support, paid internships, and immersive student programming, PassPort helps young people explore the issues shaping their futures while building the skills, networks, and confidence needed to become engaged citizens and community leaders.
PassPort: Hampton Roads is more than a program—it's an investment in the future of our region.
By connecting students with ideas, experiences, mentors, and opportunities that might otherwise remain out of reach, we are helping build a more informed, engaged, and globally connected Hampton Roads.
We invite students, educators, families, schools, and community partners to join us as we open new doors to learning, leadership, and opportunity.
