“My internship gave me the opportunity to turn my academic interests into real-world skills and professional experience. Today, I work at the World Affairs Council of Hampton Roads in communications, development, events, and community engagement. The confidence, skills, and professional relationships I gained as an intern have continued to shape my career. For me, an internship was more than experience, it was the first step toward the career I’m building.”
