Ryan Adams

PUBLIC RELATIONS COMMITTEE CO-CHAIR

With over twelve years of expertise in communications, grassroots organizing, broadcast and digital media, public relations, and project and program management, I have dedicated my career to making a positive impact. My experience spans diverse campaigns and projects, where I've had multiple leadership roles in shaping narratives and engaging audiences effectively. I have experience as an organizer for various political campaigns and primarily focused on environmentally driven advocacy organizations. I’ve also worked in local television.

In my community, I serve as a Board Member of the Hampton Clean City Commission. During my tenure, I’ve been elected as a two-term Chairman and Vice-Chairman, actively participating in and leading various committees. Currently, I serve on the Board as a Commissioner. Additionally, I’m a Board Member and Co-Chair of the Public Relations Committee at The World Affairs Council of Greater Hampton Roads. Simultaneously, I hold the position of Director of Marketing and Membership at Sister Cities of Hampton.

My educational background includes a Bachelor of Political Science with a minor in Asian Studies and History from Tennessee Tech University. Additionally, I have earned a Project Management Certification from Cornell University.
